Jesus said, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ The second is this, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” –Mark 12:30-44
The CDC community transmission level for Catawba County is currently at HIGH. When the level is HIGH, the CDC recommends that everyone wear a mask in public spaces. The COVID Task Force encourages everyone to wear a high-quality mask when attending worship or other events to help protect those in our community who are at high risk.
High risk people include the elderly (age 65 and older), those with chronic illnesses, respiratory conditions, who are immunocompromised, or are undergoing cancer treatment. All people who are eligible should be vaccinated and have booster doses at the recommended times, maintain social distancing, use hand sanitizer often, and thoroughly wash hands frequently.
If you've been exposed to COVID-19, please isolate (if not up to date on vaccines or if you test positive), get tested at least 5 days following the close contact, and wear a mask around others.
The COVID Task Force will continue to monitor any changes and communicate updates to our procedures that may be necessary.
