HTLC Endowment Foundation

The Endowment Foundation of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church is an independent non-profit corporation that manages endowed funds for the benefit of HTLC Hickory. The Endowment generates funds that expand the ministry of HTLC. We are grateful for the visionary gifts of those who helped to establish and build these funds that play such an important role to support the church far into the future.

Many times, donors to the Endowment will indicate a preference for how their funds may be used. Today, the Endowment offers a variety of funds to support scholarships, seminarian support, music, technology, and more. New gifts are always welcome. If you would like to know more about the HTLC Endowment Foundation and its funds, please contact the church office.

Foundation Grants

Project Requests

Each year, the HTLC Endowment Foundation reviews requests for funding and makes grants to expand the ministry and support the needs of the Holy Trinity congregation beyond those endeavors covered by the church's annual operating ministry budget.

The Foundation welcomes grant requests year-round. Funding decisions are made quarterly and are at the complete discretion of the Foundation Board. The Board will take into consideration the church's strategic priorities, availability of funds, as well as how the request supports the ministries of the church. The Board is especially interested in supporting requests that are sponsored and endorsed by ministry teams of HTLC. The Board is not able to fund every request.

Scholarships

Each spring, the Foundation invites applications to apply for scholarship support. Awards are given to seminarians and to undergraduate and graduate students. Scholarships decisions are made at the discretion of the Board members who take into consideration such factors as the fund purpose, availability of funds, and the applicant's connection to the life of HTLC. The number of awards is limited. We gratefully acknowledge the visionary donors who created the following scholarship funds:
